  • Ensuring that the design, operational and technical integrity of our assets are sustained throughout their lifecycle.
  • Reporting and investigating incidents to ensure effective preventive and corrective actions and sharing lessons learned with relevant stakeholders.
  • Strengthening organisational resilience through the effective application of risk management, security, emergency preparedness and business recovery practices.

Cleaner Energy

To creatively unlock the benefits of energy resources and make a transformative impact on the communities that we serve.

Trusted Leader

Being a trusted leader in sustainable energy, empowering communities, and driving responsible regional growth.

Sustainability has been embedded in Crescent Petroleum’s business since our establishment in 1971.

As we have developed the Middle East’s natural gas resources, we have consistently championed natural gas as a practical alternative to higher-carbon fuels. Through disciplined operations and continuous efficiency improvements, we seek to produce and deliver it more responsibly across our operations.

Since 2008, our operations have helped the region avoid over 58 million tonnes of CO2 emissions by replacing liquid fuels with cleaner-burning natural gas. As we expand operations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) and develop our new projects in Diyala and Basra Governorates in Federal Iraq, this contribution continues to grow.

We began publishing Sustainability Reports in 2015, providing transparent disclosures of our environmental and social performance. We remain committed to clear, accountable communication on sustainability matters relevant to our stakeholders and operations.

Our Sustainability Report details how natural gas underpins our responsible energy approach.

Key Sustainability Pillars

1

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP:
Minimising Our Ecological Footprint

Operational efficiency drives both environmental performance and long-term value.

By integrating emissions management, technology upgrades, and continuous process optimisation into daily operations, we strengthen resilience while reducing environmental intensity. Responsible performance supports stable production, disciplined cost control, and sustained competitiveness.

We actively participate in industry-led initiatives aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, including carbon dioxide and methane, across the value chain.

Our focus is on measurable reductions in emissions intensity through structured oversight, operational upgrades, and the deployment of proven technologies. Performance is benchmarked against industry standards to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This disciplined approach reinforces operational reliability, reduces long-term regulatory and transition risk, and supports responsible growth aligned with evolving stakeholder expectations.

2

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT:
Enriching the Communities Where We Operate

Our mission drives us to help improve the quality of life in the areas where we operate, through our operations as well as through social performance activities to serve the community.

Our operations helped create 10,000 direct jobs in the KRI and an additional 10,000 indirect jobs in our first decade of operations in the region.

We firmly believe that empowering the communities in which we operate to thrive and grow is pivotal to the success of our business. For example, we prioritise local talent wherever we can and favour local suppliers to generate economic opportunities for the communities across our operations.

Our Social Performance initiatives also reinforce that impact, helping improve the quality of life in and around our operations by promoting healthcare, education and arts, as well as promoting the social inclusion of people of determination.

We also invest in global initiatives and events to promote cleaner energy and social sustainability in our region.

3

TEAM WELL-BEING: Ensuring the Health and Safety of Our Workforce

Safety is a priority at Crescent Petroleum. We work to ensure that the hazards and risks inherent in our activities are effectively mitigated.

Across production operations, drilling, and major capital project construction, all risks are systematically identified, assessed, and controlled.

Awareness of hazards, risks, and operational controls is reinforced through inductions, regular training, written procedures, toolbox talks, awareness programmes, and safety meetings. This approach applies to all activities under our control.

We maintain a robust contractor management process covering prequalification, selection, monitoring, and performance review. While particular attention is given to contractors engaged in higher-risk activities, strict safety standards apply to all contractors we work with.

4

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT: Empowering Our Employees To Lead, Work In Teams, and Progress

We invest in our employees to support their growth as professionals and as leaders.

By expanding technical expertise and reinforcing collaboration, we strengthen resilience across our organisation and ensure Crescent Petroleum remains equipped to deliver responsible energy solutions for the future.

Our development approach equips employees with the skills to think strategically and respond decisively to evolving operational challenges.

Mentorship, succession planning, and focused training strengthen capability in complex environments. Structured development and knowledge transfer reinforce business continuity.

This sustained investment in human capital enables our teams to adapt with confidence, lead with accountability, and contribute meaningfully to long-term value creation.
