March 2, 2020

More than 1,500 people on Saturday walked in solidarity with families of determined ones at Dubai’s Meraas Kite Beach to mark Rare Disease Day, held annually on the last day of February. A rare disease is broadly defined as one that affects a small section of the population, such as fewer than 1 in 2,000 people. Examples include cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, and haemophilia.
