The primary responsibility of a Network Engineer is to ensure complete operational health of all network infrastructure.
Maintan and Enhance Network Infrastructure ensuring high-availability, security and performance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
Design, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, VPNs and related services.
Identify, diagnose and resolve wired and wireless network problems.
Conduct regular network performance tests.
Implement, monitor, and manage network QoS.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and diagrams for LANs, WANs and other network interconnections.
Analyse technical architecture of Network (Core- Distribution and access levels) to understand dependencies, points of failure, impacts, to provide recommendations for Network and continuously improve resiliency across the IT infrastructure.
Implement, monitor and maintain all levels of network security in conjunction with security team.
Troubleshoot issues efficiently while effectively communicating escalations and outcomes
Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure network is running smoothly.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors/master’s in computer science or information systems
In depth knowledge of Networking Protocols, TCP/IP, QoS, traffic shaping for wired and wireless networks.
6-8 years’ experience with configuring and implementing a multi-vendor hardware network.
Hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting IPSec tunnels and SSL VPN.
Hands-on experience designing wireless networks for optimal performance and security.
Experience with network monitoring and management tools
In-depth knowledge of STP, VPC, VLAN design.
Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms.
Ability to create detailed LLD and HLD diagrams.
Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise.
Self-starter, capable of working independently and in a team environment, collaborating well with others to solve problems in a team-focused dynamic.
Knowledge of networking protocols and operations, cloud networking configuration and firewalls
