Bjorn Baekkegaard is Director of Digital Transformation at Crescent Petroleum, leading strategic IT initiatives across the business. With more than 25 years’ experience in IT and digital transformation—including a decade focused on upstream oil and gas—he specialises in aligning technology with operational excellence. Before Crescent Petroleum, Bjorn served as IT Digital Lead for Information Systems at TotalEnergies, with prior roles managing IT operations in Qatar and Denmark, covering SAP, information security, industrial IT/OT, data management, projects, and infrastructure.
He has contributed as an advisory board member to innovative start-ups and digital-scale companies, particularly in offshore safety, security, and operational integrity – leveraging advanced encryption, algorithms, and blockchain technologies to address complex industrial challenges and create tangible business value.
