Abdulla Al Qadi leads Crescent Petroleum’s business interests across Iraq and is responsible for advancing the company’s growth strategy, strategic partnerships, and business development activities. He works closely with government stakeholders, national oil companies, and industry partners to support the company’s long-term expansion and investment objectives.

Since joining Crescent Petroleum in 2006, Abdulla has played a key role in the company’s growth and success. As former Executive Director of Exploration & Production, he led major technical and operational initiatives across the company’s portfolio and contributed to significant production growth and reserve expansion. He also served as a member of the Executive Committee, helping shape the company’s strategic direction.

In 2024, Abdulla was appointed Country Chair for Iraq, where he has overseen the expansion of Crescent Petroleum’s presence in the country, including the successful acquisition of additional exploration and development acreage that significantly increased the company’s operated portfolio. He also provides leadership for the company’s operations in Diyala and Basra and supports business development initiatives across Iraq and other strategic markets.

Prior to joining Crescent Petroleum, Abdulla spent 17 years with ADNOC, where he held a number of technical and leadership positions, including Offshore and Onshore Drilling Manager. During his tenure, he managed large multidisciplinary teams and assets with annual budgets exceeding AED 6 billion.

Abdulla holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, USA. He serves on the Advisory Board of Oil & Gas IQ and is a frequent speaker at regional and international energy industry forums.
